Dealing with the challenges facing the underserved health communities of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives, are willing to take risks, and collaborate for the greater good. The Technology Health & Equity (T.H.E.) Workgroup was created primarily to create and disseminate original and curated health education messages and programs using current and emerging digital technologies to vulnerable and low-resource communities. Established in 2016, we’re a core research team organization driven by a primary focus on health education, disease prevention, wellness, self-care, advocacy, and navigating the health care system. Our research delves into how social media and current and emerging technologies can be used to promote health, improve health outcomes, and increase health equity.
